How it works
Activate LinkMedic
Install from the WordPress plugin directory and activate. Go to Tools > LinkMedic.
Queue a scan
Click "Queue full rescan" to extract links from posts, pages, and public custom post types.
Review and fix
LinkMedic checks links in small batches and flags broken links, redirects, and warnings for you to recheck, edit, unlink, or dismiss.

FAQ
Does LinkMedic use a cloud service?
No. Link extraction, storage, checking, and redirects are all local to your WordPress installation.
Does LinkMedic require an account?
No.
What external requests does it make?
Only the link checks themselves. LinkMedic does not send tracking data, telemetry, or site data to a third-party API. LinkMedic Pro license checks go through Polar.
How often are links rechecked?
Broken links are rechecked daily by default, and OK links every 7 days by default. Developers can filter these intervals.
What counts as broken?
4xx/5xx responses and connection errors are broken. HTTP 429 and timeouts are treated as warnings until they fail 3 consecutive times.
Is the free plugin limited or a trial?
No. Everything in the free plugin is fully functional, and there is no locked trialware code.
